This reusable leather cahier cover is perfect for your pocket sketchbook or notebook. Engraved with your choice of text, this A6 notebook cover is made to fit a 'Moleskine Cahier' (9x14cm). This cover is hand-dyed and stitched in your choice of colours and would make the perfect gift for the artist, writer or organiser in your life.

Cahier notebook cover

This is my second purchase from Hôrd. Excellent quality and love the style and design of the notebook cover. I expect to make good use of this for years to come.

Great slim Field Notes cover

Looks just the same as the pictures and holds a standard Field Notes perfectly (I don't use cahiers). The leather is thinner than the Hord A5/journal cover, but this works for me as I was replacing a Lochby cover which I found to be a bit too bulky. The pen loop is as per the pictures and will only hold a biro or pencil, which is what I expected. I've a collection of fountain pens and the only one that'll fit is a pretty obscure aluminium Kakimori. All in all, it is well made, it was despatched promptly, and met my expectations, but it won't work if you want to put anything other than a very slim writing device in the loop. It did smell a bit at first, more of a chemical pong than a nice leathery odour, but this soon faded. I did a fair bit of research before purchasing and all in all, I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again. The only improvement for me would be a good quality elastic or adjustable pen loop.

Thanks so much for your lovely review! We’re really glad to hear your Cahier cover met your expectations. We design our pieces to last for years, which is why we stick to natural materials and avoid adding things like elastic where possible, as unfortunately elastic can fail overtime.

The good news is that the leather pen loop will gently mould to whatever you keep in it; so if you prefer something a little wider than a standard pen, it’ll adapt over a day or so. It comfortably fits the pens and pencils we stock, as well as most standard sizes such as the Uni-ball Eye. Hopefully that helps you find the perfect match for your cover!

The scent you noticed will be from our waterproofing treatments; they’re freshly applied before dispatch and will fade completely once aired.
